HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

Kettering Textiles Limited will endeavour to protect and promote, as far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all its employees, visitors and others who may be affected by its activities in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and any relevant, subsequent legislation.

In particular Kettering Textiles Limited health and safety objectives, where it is reasonably practicable, are to:

  • Ensure all employees are competent to undertake their tasks, and to provide them with relevant and adequate training.
  • Provide and maintain a safe, risk free working environment, along with suitable welfare facilities.
  • Provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities.
  • Consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety.
  • Provide suitable information, instruction and supervision to enable employees to perform their work safely and to understand any risks associated with their activities and the control measures in place.
  • To provide and maintain work equipment, safe and free from risks to health, by identification, elimination or control of foreseeable hazards in the workplace.
  • Ensure that suitable arrangements are in place for the safe use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances for use at work.
  • Ensure the availability of information on articles and substances used at work, so that precautions can be taken, if necessary, to reduce any risks to health.
  • Prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill-health.
  • Undertake risk assessments on a regular basis.
  • Review and revise this policy on a yearly basis.
