QUALITY POLICY

Kettering Textiles Ltd is one of the leading U.K. processors of secondhand clothing and recyclable textiles. Kettering Textiles Ltd operates as the exclusive contracted agent to Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd, collecting from door to door schemes and over 4800 clothing banks across the UK.

Kettering Textiles Ltd. generates employment for over 250 people in the UK who are engaged in management, collection, processing, reuse, recycling, distribution and selling of secondhand clothes, salvageable textiles, books, shoes and bric-a-brac.

It is the policy of Kettering Textiles Ltd to provide quality goods and services produced in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System and meeting any relevant legal, regulatory and individual specification requirements, giving complete customer satisfaction.

The Quality Management System operated throughout the company has been designed to incorporate the requirements of EN ISO 9001:2008 as the minimum standard to be achieved. The Company achieved certification to ISO 9001:2008 in December 2008. The Company will ensure that the quality policy is understood, implemented and maintained at all levels within the organisation. The procedures set out in the Quality Manual are considered mandatory and it is the responsibility of all employees to ensure they are complied with fully.

 

 

The Quality Representative (or nominated Deputy) with the full support and backing of the Managing Director has been given the responsibility and the authority to develop, implement, maintain and communicate the Quality Management System.  He/she will continually update the Quality Manual and all Internal Procedures.  The Quality Management System is formulated at regular Quality Management Review meetings at which its quality objectives and effectiveness are also reviewed.

 

 

Kettering Textiles Ltd considers its commitment to quality and the continuous improvement of its processes, products and services to be fundamental to the continued success of the company. This is achieved through the on-going auditing, monitoring of processes and company and personnel performance, supplier assessment and customer feedback. QMS updates and the results of these evaluations are communicated to the workforce via team briefings and notice boards.
